How PPF works, what self-healing can repair, and how to choose between front-end and full-car coverage.

What is PPF?
Paint protection film is a protective film applied over painted panels. It provides a physical barrier that helps reduce damage from road debris, light abrasions and everyday use.
How self-healing works
Many premium films have a topcoat that can reduce light surface marks when warmed under the manufacturer’s recommended conditions. This does not repair cuts, punctures or damage through the film. Do not apply direct heat without the installer’s guidance.
Will you see it?
Quality film aims for a discreet finish, but edges, joins and some texture may remain visible on close inspection. Panel shape and access determine where edges can be wrapped. We discuss those details before installation.
Front-end or full-car coverage?
A front-end package focuses on the bumper, bonnet and front wings. Broader coverage can add other vulnerable panels or the full painted exterior. Your quote should specify exactly which areas are included.
Coating over film
A compatible ceramic coating can help make film easier to clean. It complements the film’s physical protection rather than replacing it.
