The project

This Mazda received new-car protection with a ceramic coating at Millennium Detailing. The photographs show the completed vehicle from several angles, including a closer front view and the rear.

Protecting a new car is an opportunity to establish a sensible care routine from the beginning. A ceramic coating helps make the surface easier to clean and maintain, but careful preparation and washing still matter.

Why inspect a car that is new?

A new vehicle can pick up contamination or light marks during transport, storage or preparation for delivery. That does not mean every new car needs extensive polishing. For your vehicle, an inspection helps establish what preparation is appropriate before a coating is applied.

The first washes

Follow the curing and first-wash instructions provided with your coating. Use suitable products and clean, soft wash media, rinse thoroughly and dry carefully. Avoid treating water beading as the only measure of condition: contamination and maintenance can affect how a surface behaves.
